Mother’s Finest was discovered during the Jack Herer breeding program. When this strain hit the market, it was well-received / accepted by the masses and even bagged a Cannabis Cup early in its career. Though a Jack-descendent, this strain is largely influenced by the Haze family. It is considered to be one of the more refined strains from the Herer gene pool.

While Jack Herer is a Sativa-Indica mix and Jack Flash is of the Skunk variety, Mother’s finest features include her sweet-and-sour taste and blissful cerebral high, inherited directly from Haze. Strains of Mother’s Finest that tend to lean towards the Sativa ilk will finish earlier than Haze-dominant strains, but will still need to fully flower for optimum production. The rare phenotypes that have a strong Indica influence could take about eight weeks to finish.

This strain tends to grow tall during the blooming stage, thus breeders who have low ceilings should ensure that they flower early. Mother’s Finest is a beautiful plant with an exotic aroma. During the early stages of flowering, the plant bears buds that accumulate together in a cone-shaped pattern. As the plant matures, the lime green buds become crystal coated, the calyxes enlarge and harden thus giving more room to the resin glands to proliferate, and the pistils take on a darker shade.

Mother’s Finest buds bring together the fruity-musky flavor of Skunk and the earthy Afghanica, mixed with the sharp pine scent of Haze.
